Roads Closed Across the Republic

The Rescue Service reports that there are closed roads in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.

In the Aragatsotn region, the roads leading from the "Amberd" highland meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari are closed. The Tigranashen bends and the road from the Jermuk junction to Kapan are also closed for trucks with trailers.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers and is difficult to pass for other types of vehicles. The Spitak bends, as well as the Spitak-Gyumri and Vanadzor-Dilijan roads, are impassable for trucks with trailers.

In the section known as the "Chaini bends," there are areas of black ice on the roads of Sevan, Jambarak, Martuni, Gavar, Aparan, Aragatz, Abovyan, Hrazdan, Nairi, Sisian, Goris, Ashotq, and Amasia regions. Snowfall is reported in Vayots Dzor, Gegharkunik (except for Sevan city), and the regions of Ararat, Sisian, Goris, Kapan.
