Officials in Aparan Received Bribes of Various Amounts

As a result of operational-investigative measures carried out by the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia, it has been established through evidentiary and procedural actions initiated by a criminal case that the head of a subdivision of the Aparan community administration in the Aragatsotn region, along with two employees, received bribes from several residents of the community in preliminary agreement and as part of a group to perform illegal actions on their behalf.

Specifically, the preliminary investigation revealed that these officials received various amounts of bribes from residents of the same community between June and August 2025, to facilitate the unimpeded registration of property rights and the drafting of necessary documents for several real estate properties located within the administrative territory of the community, and in some cases, to organize these actions in violation of the law and other illegal actions.

Charges have been brought against the aforementioned officials of the Aparan community administration for receiving bribes on the basis of Article 435, Part 2, Clause 1, and Article 435, Part 2, Clause 3 of the RA Criminal Code. One of them has been detained as a precautionary measure.

Three citizens who provided bribes to the officials have been charged under Article 436, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code. The preliminary investigation against them has been completed, and the materials of the case have been sent to the Anti-Corruption Court of Armenia with an accusatory conclusion.
