Citizens Sentenced to Life Imprisonment in Armenia Transferred to Syria via Turkey

The citizens of the Syrian Arab Republic, Yousef Alaabet al-Haji and Muhhreb Mohammed al-Shakhre, who were sentenced to life imprisonment in the Republic of Armenia, have been transferred to the competent authorities of the Syrian Arab Republic through the Republic of Turkey. This transfer was carried out to continue the enforcement of their sentences in their country of citizenship. The handover was conducted under the cooperation of the relevant authorities and within the framework of applicable legal mechanisms. This information was reported by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Justice had previously addressed the extradition of Syrian mercenaries sentenced to life imprisonment in Armenia.
