Our Kindergarten Design Process Cannot Take Years, Avinyan

During a work meeting at the Yerevan City Hall, Mayor Tigran Avinyan announced that the tender processes for the redesign of kindergartens have failed to take place four times.

“After the competition failed to take place twice, there should have been negotiations, and perhaps we should have abandoned it. Our kindergarten design process cannot take years like this. In this case, time is much more important than funding,” he stated.

The mayor emphasized, “We can confidently resolve the funding issue for these few kindergartens, so I ask you to understand in a timely manner whether we are working together with our partners or not.”

Tigran Avinyan instructed to investigate the causes of the issue, noting: “Either the amount of funding is the problem, which is why it has failed four times, or something written in the technical specification is causing questions for everyone and they do not participate, or I don’t know what else.”
