Israel to Resume Intensive Military Operations in Gaza, Reports Times of Israel
The Israel Defense Forces have drafted a plan to resume intensive military operations in Gaza, focusing on an assault on Gaza City. This operation aims to advance the "Yellow Line" of ceasefire delineation westward towards the coastline, according to reports from Times of Israel.
The report indicates that the operation cannot be executed without U.S. support, which is still working to transition the fragile ceasefire established in October into a second phase that includes the disarmament of the Palestinian Hamas group.
Despite Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's agreement to collaborate on efforts to implement the ceasefire during a meeting with Trump last month, he remains skeptical regarding the success of disarming Hamas.
