Trump and His Administration Discuss Various Options for Acquiring Greenland

President Trump has made it clear that acquiring Greenland is a national security priority for the United States and is crucial for deterring adversaries in the Arctic region, White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt stated, according to CNN.

“The president and his team are exploring a range of options to achieve this important foreign policy goal, and, of course, the use of U.S. armed forces is always at the disposal of the commander in chief,” Levitt noted.

According to CNN sources, earlier Secretary of State Marco Rubio told lawmakers that the Trump administration is considering the possibility of purchasing Greenland, as he has downplayed concerns regarding U.S. military intervention in the short term.
