Venezuela's Interim Leader Offers Cooperation to the US: Details
Caracas remains committed to peaceful cohabitation with its neighbors, aiming to live without external threats, in an atmosphere of respect and international cooperation, stated Venezuela's interim president Delcy Rodriguez.
In an open letter published on her Instagram page, the politician called for collaboration with the US government. Rodriguez also addressed US President Donald Trump directly, stating that both peoples and the region "deserve peace and dialogue, not war." According to Rodriguez, this has been the message from Nicolás Maduro, who was previously arrested during a military operation and transferred to the United States with his wife.
Earlier that day, Donald Trump declared that Delcy Rodriguez would pay a "heavy price" if she did not cooperate with US authorities. "Probably a greater price than Maduro," quoted The Atlantic from the US president's remarks.
