World's Most Expensive Goalkeeper Announced

Gianluigi Donnarumma, the goalkeeper for Manchester City and the Italian national team, has been recognized as the world's most expensive goalkeeper. Transfermarkt values the Italian's transfer fee at €45 million, which is €5 million more than the next two highest players, Diogo Costa and Gregor Kobel (both valued at €40 million).

Donnarumma moved to Manchester City from PSG for €30 million in the summer of 2025 after the Parisian club was unable to reach an agreement for a new contract with him. His current contract with the Cityzens is set to last until June 30, 2030.
