1,922 People Executed in Iran in 2025
In 2025, a total of 1,922 people were executed in Iran, averaging more than 5 individuals per day. This figure is double that of the previous year, according to a report by The Daily Telegraph.
Among those executed for alleged crimes were 59 women and 2 minors. The number of executions increased by 106.6% compared to 2024, marking the highest count in the past 11 years. Most of the executions were carried out secretly or without public announcement. However, ten individuals were executed publicly.
