Warning: Heavy Snow and Blizzards Expected in Armenia

Warning: Due to the infiltration of a cold atmospheric front from the northwest, light snow is expected in certain regions on December 26 and during the night of December 27. This information is provided by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center.

From the afternoon of December 27, into the evening, and during the night from December 27 to December 28, as well as in the morning, snow is anticipated across the entire territory of the Republic. On December 28, during the day, snowfall is expected in Gegharkunik, Ararat, Vayots Dzor, and Syunik, with heavy snow anticipated in certain areas.

Higher winds of 17-20 m/s, blizzards, and low horizontal visibility are also expected in some areas of the mountainous regions of the Republic. The air temperature is projected to drop by 5-7 degrees Celsius throughout the Republic from December 28 to 30.

In Yerevan, snow is expected in the late evening of December 27, during the night from December 27 to December 28, and in the morning.
