Digitalization of Healthcare is Crucial: Anahit Avanesyan

The Minister of Health, Anahit Avanesyan, participated remotely in a meeting organized by the Russian Ministry of Health and the Eurasian Economic Commission on the topic of "Digitalization of Healthcare in EAEU Member States." This information was conveyed in a communiqué issued by the Armenian Ministry of Health.

Welcoming the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Murashko, and other counterparts, the Minister emphasized that the process of digitalization in the field is not merely a technological challenge but a cornerstone for the safety and well-being of our citizens. "Especially in light of the upcoming implementation of universal health insurance, the digitalization of healthcare is of utmost importance as it forms the basis for the introduction and seamless operation of the insurance system," Anahit Avanesyan stated.

She presented recent achievements in the field of digitalization, addressing the issuance of electronic prescriptions and the prospects for telemedicine development. To make future healthcare accessible to everyone, Anahit Avanesyan expressed readiness to implement joint projects and exchange experiences with partners.
