I Call on All Responsible Leaders to Support Peace, Just Like the Pope Does: Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has responded to the Pope's proposal. “We appreciate the continuous attention of Pope Leo XIII to all diplomatic efforts to stop Russia's war against Ukraine and share His Holiness’s disappointment regarding the recent rejection of the Christmas ceasefire proposal by Russia.

Russia not only rejected the proposal to establish a ceasefire even on the holy day, but also launched massive attacks on Ukraine's power grid through missiles and drones, causing power outages and continuing its assault on the front lines.

It is important for people around the world to voice their opinions. It is crucial not to allow Russia to normalize brutality, terrorism, and aggression against our people. I call on all responsible leaders to support peace, just like the Pope does,” Zelensky stated.
