Reforms Implemented in Public Transport Sector: Details

In 2025, a series of programs have been implemented in the public transport sector with the main goal of giving priority to pedestrians and public transport over other traffic participants. This was reported by the Yerevan Municipality.

Among the measures taken are the installation of 17 traffic lights operating in 'pedestrian call' mode, the introduction of dedicated lanes for public transport, the installation of traffic lights specifically for public transport, and the organization of a tender for the acquisition of 45 new trolleybuses.
