Drug Dealers Attempted to Flee: Details
The Criminal Police’s Drug Trafficking Control Department and the National Security Service have received operational information indicating that two young men, aged 31 and 32, residents of Yerevan, regularly procure large quantities of various types of drugs from specified locations and are engaged in their distribution via the Telegram application. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“By jointly operationalizing the received information and collaborating with the personnel of the Criminal Police of the Armavir region, it was determined that the mentioned young men had procured particularly large quantities of drugs near the water conduit on Isaakyan Street in Armavir city for the purpose of selling on December 18. Law enforcement discovered the individuals at the specified location, arrested them, and transferred them to the Criminal Police’s regional department in Armavir. Upon arrest, they attempted to flee in a 'Kia' car driven by the 32-year-old, but this was prevented.
A personal search of the 32-year-old revealed marijuana and trace materials from a siphon. A criminal case has been initiated, and a court order authorized the search of the seized 'Kia' vehicle, which led to the discovery of 1 kg and 155 grams of a substance resembling marijuana. The young residents of Yerevan, aged 31 and 32, have been detained. An investigation is underway.”
