There is a need for adjustments. Artificial intelligence still needs to learn, Avinyan

We must understand how accurately artificial intelligence has recorded our issues in real life. This was stated today by Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan during a regular operational meeting at the municipality, addressing the collection and analysis of information data distributed using artificial intelligence.

“I believe there is still a need for certain adjustments, because artificial intelligence still needs to learn, and starting from some point onwards, this will be your map, and you will be obliged to independently operate that map, use it, and when ordering works, you should also be guided by this map, which does not necessarily have to be created solely by artificial intelligence. Your employees should also work to ensure that it is clear and accurate, but from a control perspective, it is a very serious tool,” stated Mayor Tigran Avinyan, addressing Acting Director of the Construction and Improvement Department, Andranik Tevosyan.

Tevosyan responded by noting that, for example, an area that has been patched was considered a crack by artificial intelligence. The mayor replied, “Yes, in cases of cracks, artificial intelligence may not yet distinguish the complete problematic crack from one that has already been patched, but I am confident that in terms of potholes, it is mostly recording accurately. You should have one or two specialists until the end of next year, this issue should come under your jurisdiction, and you should manage this map.”
