Russia Ready to Support Turkmenistan's CIS Presidency, Putin Says
Russia is prepared to support Turkmenistan during its presidency of the CIS in 2026. This was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“I wish success to Turkmenistan's President Serdar Gurbanguliyevich Berdymukhamedov and all our Turkmen partners, who will take over the presidency of the Cooperation on January 1. We are ready to provide you with all necessary assistance,” said Putin during an informal CIS summit.
The Russian leader also expressed gratitude to Tajik President Emomali Rahmon for the constructive and proactive approach in assuming the CIS presidency in 2025.
