Will We See How Katriç Nersisyan Defrocks Ezra? - Tsovinar Vardanyan
Member of the Armenian National Assembly from the "Civil Contract" faction, Tsovinar Vardanyan, has addressed the document published by the NSS regarding Archbishop Ezra's alleged collaboration with the KGB on Facebook.
"Today, the NSS published a document stating that Katriç Nersisyan's brother, Archbishop Ezra, is a KGB agent, and according to available data, Archbishop Ezra Nersisyan is currently maintaining connections with representatives of foreign intelligence agencies. I would like to remind you that from April 2001, by the high authority of His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, he was appointed as the leader of the New Nakhichevan and Russian Diocese and as the representative of the Armenian Church in the Patriarchate of Moscow and All Russia.
On September 30, 2001, he was ordained as a bishop by His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians. On September 17, 2013, His Holiness Karekin II honored Bishop Ezra Nersisyan with the title of Archbishop in recognition of his dedicated and zealous service. I believe there is one question that concerns everyone: will we see how Katriç Nersisyan defrocks Ezra? After all, Katriç has referenced the importance of national interests in many of his statements. Let’s see..." the deputy wrote.
