Trump Does Not Rule Out Military Action Against Venezuela

U.S. President Donald Trump has stated in an interview with NBC that military operations against Venezuela remain on Washington's agenda.

"I do not rule it out, no," Trump said during a phone conversation with the network.

When asked whether U.S. strikes against ships transporting drugs in the Caribbean could lead to war, Trump replied, "I have not discussed that." However, he did not specify when the U.S. might carry out actions to seize the ships.

"It depends on circumstances. If they are stupid enough not to hurry, they will find themselves in one of our ports," the president noted.

This week, Trump announced a blockade of ships under sanctions from Venezuela and those departing from the country. The American leader also stated that Venezuela has been classified as a foreign terrorist organization due to its involvement in asset theft, "terrorism, drug trafficking, and human trafficking."
