Belarusian Defense Ministry: Polish Authorities Are Scaring Their Population

Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin has stated that the deployment of Patriot systems in Poland is a result of the authorities scaring their own population. "They have portrayed us as an enemy and are now frightening their own people," the minister told reporters in response to questions regarding the deployment of Patriot systems in Poland.

He explained that these systems are primarily for defensive purposes. In this context, Khrenin assured that Belarus has no intentions of attacking.

It is worth noting that Polish authorities have placed the Patriot missile systems on combat readiness. This was announced by National Defense Minister Wlodzislaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, according to RMF24 radio.
