Traffic Intensity Measuring Devices Installed on Inter-State Roads

Online traffic intensity measuring devices have been installed at 14 points on 8 inter-state highways in Armenia. The devices are located on the M-1 (2 points), M-2 (4 points), M-3, M-4 (3 points), M-5, M-6, M-7, and M-10 highways.

Employees from the inventory and program development division of the Road Department have carried out adjustment work for the installed devices and have collected data on transport intensity. Comparative analysis of the data has shown that in the third quarter of 2025, compared to the same period last year, the intensity of vehicles has primarily increased, with only 3 points experiencing a decrease.

The intensity of vehicles is also measured using mobile devices. It is noteworthy that the collected data is analyzed and used by units of the Road Department for developing road rehabilitation programs, implementing safety measures, and other purposes.
