Police Urges Citizens Not to Share Personal Data with Strangers
The Police of the Republic of Armenia urges citizens not to provide personal data, including passport and banking information, to strangers under any pretext.
"Do not share your usernames, passwords, and one-time codes received via SMS from your personal accounts registered on various online platforms. By sharing this personal information with others, you run the risk of it being used by individuals involved in various criminal schemes, which could result in not only losing access to your electronic wallets, bank accounts, and personal accounts but also becoming a victim of financial fraud. The data in the hands of criminals can also be used for committing other offenses," the police stated in an official announcement.
