Lavrov Calls EU Leaders Rude

The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has described European leaders as "rude" for their attempts to criticize Russia’s cooperation with India and China.

"We respect every country's right to choose its foreign partners. This fully corresponds with the requirements of the UN Charter to respect the sovereign equality of states. Those, especially the so-called current leaders of the European Union, who publicly declare why China cooperates with Russia and why India cooperates with Russia, are rude and impolite," Lavrov stated at a joint press conference with Egypt's Foreign Minister.
