EU Rejects US Violation of Sovereignty Principle, But Similarly Acted in Georgia: Kobakhidze
The European Union does not accept the violation of the sovereignty principle by the United States, but it has also acted similarly, stated Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
“The current US administration assesses the processes occurring in Europe just as we have over the past years. European bureaucrats do not like this. They have now reminded us of the principle of sovereignty, the principle that foreign intervention in the internal affairs of others is prohibited, despite the European bureaucracy violating this sovereignty principle in Georgia every day. Here, double standards are evident. The US administration accurately assesses the processes taking place in the European Union, and our assessment has been the same over the past several years,” the Prime Minister told reporters.
