Vardevanyan: They Cannot Present a Single Argument for Why Karapetyan Should Be Detained

During a press conference, lawyer Aram Vardevanyan stated, "In the case of Samvel Karapetyan, the law and rights are not functioning at all; there is a clear pattern of the decisive destruction of law and rights. I say this with great sorrow." He added that there is political persecution and political revenge involved in the case.

"All of this is a disrespect for the law and the rights, for the principle of a rule of law state," he mentioned, emphasizing that the investigation and the prosecutor's office are working together and cannot present a single argument for why Karapetyan should remain in detention.
