Azerbaijan and Georgia Prime Ministers Meet in Ashgabat Amid Transit Tariff Crisis for Armenia
The Prime Ministers of Azerbaijan and Georgia, Ali Asadov and Irakli Kobakhidze, met in Ashgabat against the backdrop of a crisis caused by Georgia's 40-fold increase in transit tariffs for oil products destined for Armenia.
According to an official press release from the Azerbaijani side, "the meeting expressed satisfaction with the development of the Azerbaijan-Georgia strategic partnership in various fields, including trade, economy, investments, transportation and transit, oil and gas, green energy, humanitarian issues, and others."
