Putin Expresses Support for Venezuelan President's Policies

Russian President Vladimir Putin has had a phone conversation with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. They exchanged thoughts on the further development of Russian-Venezuelan friendly relations in light of the strategic partnership and cooperation agreement that will come into force in November 2025.

“Vladimir Putin expressed solidarity with the Venezuelan people and confirmed support for Nicolas Maduro's government line, which aims to protect national interests and sovereignty in the context of growing external pressure,” stated the press service of the Russian president.

During the phone call, there was a mutual willingness to consistently implement joint projects in areas such as trade, energy, finance, culture, humanitarian efforts, and others.
