Misleading Publication Circulating: Ministry of Defense of Armenia

A misleading publication titled "An Armenian soldier has died due to an unfortunate incident in Vardenis" is circulating in various media outlets and Telegram channels, accompanied by a photo of a conscript serving in the army. This was announced by the Ministry of Defense.

"We inform that the mentioned incident occurred in circumstances and locations unrelated to military service, on which our colleagues from the Ministry of Internal Affairs have provided the media with appropriate comments. We urge media partners to approach publications related to the army responsibly, to avoid unscrupulous headlines, to rely only on verified and official sources, and to refrain from spreading information that may distort reality or create concerns among the families of servicemen. We express our condolences to the family members and comrades of the deceased serviceman,” the statement reads.
