Armenia's Society Ready for Peace with Azerbaijan: Armen Grigoryan

Armenia's society is ready for peace with Azerbaijan. This statement was made by Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of the Armenian Security Council, during a panel discussion alongside Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, at the Doha Forum.

“I can say that the Armenian society is ready; they want peace, and they support the peace process and the institutionalization of peace. We are intensively working in that direction,” Grigoryan stated.

During the panel discussion themed “Enduring Peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan: The Washington Agreement and Shared Future,” Grigoryan emphasized the importance of building a trustful atmosphere between societies, alongside decisions made by governments.

“Civil society is also involved in this process. Recently, representatives of civil society from Baku visited Yerevan, and during the same period, representatives of Yerevan's civil society visited Baku. We hope to continue these activities to build trust at the societal level,” the Secretary of the Security Council noted.
