People Evacuated from Adjacent Building: New Details on the Collapse

The head of the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Colonel Galstyan, has reported that the building was a storage facility and experienced a collapse. The call was received today at 10:13 AM, with responding teams on-site at the same time. During the search, a gas leak was detected, which was later halted.

According to Galstyan, employees from the adjacent building have been evacuated and the area has been secured. There has been one casualty as a result of the collapse, who was hospitalized with a leg injury. He noted that the injured person was outside, and there were no injuries reported inside.

Galstyan added that the area served as a food storage facility. When asked whether there might be people trapped under the rubble, he stated that after the search by the rescue services, canine units also worked on-site and found nothing. He mentioned that, according to the manager's statement, everyone has been evacuated from the area. He emphasized that there is no preliminary theory yet, as the causes of the collapse will need to be assessed by the appropriate expert services. Security personnel continue to ensure safety at the location.
