Fire Near Aghavnavank and Dzoravank Mountains

On January 5, around 08:00, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received information about a fire breaking out in the mountains near the Aghavnavank and Dzoravank communities in the Tavush and Gegharkunik regions, respectively.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations announced a personnel gathering for the firefighting teams in both Gegharkunik and Tavush regions. As of 10:20, a total of 13 fire brigades and 4 operational groups (87 firefighters-rescuers) have been deployed to the suspected site of the fire.

The access routes for vehicles are non-existent, and firefighters continue to approach the area on foot.
