Preliminary Report on Air Crash in Aktau to Be Published
The preliminary report on the causes of the air crash in Aktau (Kazakhstan) is set to be published at the end of January 2025.
According to the local bureau of Report, citing the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the report will be released 30 days after the air crash in accordance with the requirements of Kazakhstan's legislation and ICAO Annex 13.
The ministry also informed that the investigation into the air crash continues with the participation of all authorized international experts. It has been noted that the team of experts is working every day. Moreover, according to the requirements of Annex 13, the commission plans to complete the investigation within 12 months, as reported by the agency.
It should be reminded that the passenger aircraft operated by AZAL on the Baku-Grozny flight crashed on December 25 near the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan. Of the 67 people on board, 38 died, while 29 survived.
Initial reports suggest that the aircraft encountered physical and technical external interference leading to the crash.
