Video: 28-Year-Old Man Who Abused Police and Struck an Officer Arrested

On March 27, at 5 AM, officers from the Malatya police department approached a Mitsubishi vehicle driving at high speed at the intersection of Sherami and Ohanovi streets as part of a routine check. The driver and passenger were clearly under the influence of alcohol. Lacking a driver's license, the individuals exhibited aggressive behavior, refused to comply with the police officers' lawful requests, and shouted obscenities.

In an attempt to identify the individuals, the police tried to take them into custody. The driver resisted, striking one of the officers with a fist in the area of the left eyelid, causing physical injury. The individuals were apprehended around 5:25 AM, with the vehicle, and taken to the Malatya police department where they were presented to the regional investigative division for questioning.

Doctors checked their level of sobriety and determined that those apprehended were in a state of alcohol intoxication. A criminal case has been initiated, and the 28-year-old driver has been arrested. An investigation is underway.
