New $2 Million Wooden Bridge Collapses During Inauguration in Congo
A new wooden bridge worth $2 million in Congo collapsed during its grand opening. At the moment of the collapse, a delegation comprising several dozen people was crossing the bridge in a procession. Some were carrying flags, and all were walking at a leisurely pace. However, halfway across, the structure unexpectedly gave way. People began falling into the river one after another. Fortunately, the depth at the location was shallow.
It is noteworthy that the construction was carried out by a company owned by the country's president.
