A New Gold Mine Discovered in Iran

Iranian media has reported that a new gold mine has been discovered in the country's eastern region, specifically in the South Khorasan province. The Shadani gold mine has been included among the country's major gold reserves following confirmation from the Ministry of Mines and Trade, according to Fars news agency.

The proven reserves of gold ore in the Shadani region are estimated to be 61 million tons. The total declared reserves include 7.95 million tons of ore containing oxide gold and 53.1 million tons of ore containing sulfide gold. This figure classifies the Shadani mine among the largest gold reserves in the country, as reported by Mehr.
