The Turkish Bayraktar TB2 UAV Shot Down by the Artsakh Defense Army Yesterday Features a Camera Made by a Canadian Company

The camera of the Turkish Bayraktar TB2 combat UAV shot down yesterday by the Artsakh Defense Army's air defense unit is the L-3 WESCAM CMX-15D model. This was announced by the spokesperson for the Armenian Ministry of Defense, Shushan Stepanyan, on her Facebook page.

“It was produced in June 2020 by the Canadian company WESCAM and was installed on the Bayraktar TB2 in September 2020. The total operational time was 31 hours,” she wrote.

The Artsakh Defense Army has released a video showing the downed Azerbaijani UAVs. According to reports from “Razminfo”, one of the frames shows the Canadian-made CMX 15D optics, which have been found on Turkish-made strike Bayraktar TB2 UAVs, indicating that the Armenian side has shot down at least one Bayraktar.

It is important to remember that on September 27, the Azerbaijani armed forces launched a large-scale attack in Artsakh, targeting also civilian populations.
