Warner Bros Hopes to Return to Russia

Warner Bros. Entertainment has expressed hope that the company will return to Russia, as reported by Deadline.

Speaking about the challenges in international film production, particularly due to the situation in Ukraine, the closure of theaters, and the fight against the coronavirus, Andrew Cripps noted that these disruptions will be prolonged. However, he emphasized that the industry has learned to exist in uncertainty over the past two years.

He did not specify the conditions under which Hollywood films might reappear on Russian screens. According to him, Russia accounts for about 5 percent of the international box office annually.

Hollywood studios began halting the release of their films in Russia in March because of the situation in Ukraine.
