Private Edward Martirosov Found on Azerbaijani Side Under Mysterious Circumstances, Armenian Defense Ministry Reports

On April 23, private Edward Arthur Martirosov of the N military unit lost contact while en route to a combat position. Search and rescue operations were immediately initiated, as reported by the Armenian Defense Ministry.

Through efforts mediated by the Russian side with representatives of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, it was determined that Martirosov had crossed the Armenian-Azerbaijani border under unknown circumstances on the same day and is currently on the Azerbaijani side. Necessary steps are being taken to facilitate the return of Private Martirosov to the Armenian side.

A service investigation has been launched under the instruction of the Armenian Minister of Defense in relation to the incident.
