Two Fire Foci Extinguished in the Chambarak-Ttujur Section
As of 20:00 on November 25, two of the fire foci that ignited on November 21 in the Chambarak-Ttujur section of the Gegharkunik region have been extinguished thanks to the operational actions of firefighting-rescue teams, while the fire has been contained at the other locations. This information has been provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Rescue Service.
Recall that on November 21, information was received at the Rescue Service's Gegharkunik regional department that a fire had broken out in the Chambarak-Ttujur section, with grass-covered areas burning on the hillside. An appropriate response was organized.
Firefighting operations involved rescue subdivisions from the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Rescue Service in Yerevan, Lori, Ararat, Aragatsotn, Armavir, Gegharkunik, Kotayk, and Tavush regions, as well as special units from the fire suppression and rescue operations organizing divisions.
Through the operational actions of the firefighters, two of the fire foci were successfully extinguished. A firefighting headquarters was established on-site to manage the firefighting operations effectively. Personnel from the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Police, Eco-Inspection Service, and local villagers were also involved in the firefighting efforts.
As of 11:00 on November 24, the firefighting work in the Chambarak-Ttujur section was continuing intensively. A total of 343 rescuers participated in the operations, along with six main vehicles and a Defense Ministry helicopter, and drones were utilized. Overall, 1,194 rescuers were involved in the firefighting operations, with 16 main and 88 support vehicles. The Defense Ministry helicopter conducted reconnaissance and fire suppression in 23 flights.
