The Issue of Armenian Prisoners Held in Baku Jails Raised in Azerbaijan: Details

The issue of Armenian prisoners held in Baku jails has been raised in Azerbaijan. This was stated by Naira Sultanian, a member of the Armenian delegation visiting Baku, during a conversation with reporters.

She added that this issue was also brought up during a meeting with Hikmet Hajiyev, the assistant to the President of Azerbaijan.

'There have been no restrictions from either the Armenian or Azerbaijani side preventing us from raising this issue. We have raised this issue in international forums and institutions and continue to do so, and the absence of the Red Cross has also prompted a wave of letters to be sent,' she said.
