Protests in Ukraine Against Electricity Outages

Residents of Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine have staged protests against electricity outages, as reported by RIA Novosti. The demonstrators consider the current outage schedules unfair and demand the restoration of order and the establishment of clear timetables.

According to reports, protestors gathered in front of the city council building, seeking answers from local authorities and disrupting normal traffic flow. Mass, several-hour-long electricity outages began in Ukraine on October 10. Authorities have stated that the reason for the outages is damage to electricity networks and utility infrastructure.

Although the situation stabilized somewhat on October 11, emergency outage regimes were reinstated on October 13.
