Death Toll from Floods in Vietnam Rises

The death toll from floods and landslides caused by heavy rains in central Vietnam has reached 55. According to VietnamNews, citing the country’s disaster management agency under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, another 13 people are considered missing.

The hardest-hit province is Dak Lak, where there have been 27 reported fatalities, and eight citizens are still unaccounted for. Significant losses are also reported in Khan Hoa province, with 14 deaths and two individuals missing.

These numbers may rise as rescue teams continue their search operations.
