Branch Supervisor of HETC Arrested

The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia has revealed and substantiated during the preliminary investigation of a criminal case initiated within the Department of Particularly Important Cases that G.H., serving as a supervisor of one of the branches of HETC from June 6, 2024, to September 15, 2025, committed large-scale embezzlement.

During this period, he fraudulently reported inaccurate electricity consumption figures, presenting inflated figures for the electricity consumed in several streets of the local settlement he oversees instead of the actual readings of the accounting device.

According to the Investigative Committee, G.H. caused significant property damage amounting to 1,102,288 AMD to the municipal administration. Public prosecution has been initiated against him under the third part of Article 255 of the Criminal Code (large-scale fraud). G.H. has been arrested, and the preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
