Armenia-Kazakhstan Logistics Ties Need Development, Mher Grigoryan Says
In an interview with reporters in Kazakhstan, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan stated that logistical solutions indicate significant potential that needs to be uncovered. He emphasized that "the trade relations between Armenia and Kazakhstan, as well as their transit potential, are vast and should be utilized."
The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted that creating alternative logistical routes, including rail and air, will serve as a crucial impetus for activating economic ties. Grigoryan added that logistical costs and opportunities are of great importance in international trade, and seeking new solutions with Kazakhstan offers Armenia extensive possibilities. An example mentioned was the import of wheat, which has demonstrated the significance of alternative supplies.
Speaking about the Armenian government's proposed "Peace Crossroad" initiative, Grigoryan reaffirmed its serious regional importance, emphasizing that "it is impossible for the 'Peace Crossroad' to lack significant logistical importance on a broad regional scale." He noted that Kazakhstan will also be one of the beneficiaries of this initiative.
The Deputy Prime Minister mentioned that during Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's official visit, Armenia and Kazakhstan are set to sign more than ten documents that will hold considerable economic significance.
