Peskov Reminds of Moldova's Debts to Gazprom

Moldova may continue to use Russian gas even after Chișinău stopped purchasing energy resources from Gazprom. This statement was made by the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the declaration of the head of Moldova's Ministry of Energy, Viktor Parlikov, that Moldova will no longer buy gas from Gazprom.

Peskov's words were quoted by a reporter from URA.RU. “If I understand correctly, communication between Gazprom and Moldova continues. Furthermore, the Moldovan side has debts. This dialogue should continue. Secondly, the spot market is very unstable. Right now, you can buy gas which, in the end, turns out to be of Russian origin. It is possible that Moldova will do this,” Peskov said in a conversation with reporters.

Earlier, it was reported that Moldova will no longer buy gas from Gazprom.
