Ukraine's Peace Process Dependent on EU's Position, Says Kallas
The European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, has emphasized that any peace agreement concerning Ukraine can only progress if it has the support of the European Union. According to him, EU ministers have reacted calmly to recent statements, as such proposals have already been made, but without the agreement of both European and Ukrainian parties, they are not viable.
Kallas noted that the primary theme of the discussions has not been the content of new initiatives, but rather the actions the European Union is taking and the direction it intends to continue its policy. She underscored that the EU's stance remains unchanged: the peace process must be based on the sovereignty and security of Ukraine, and without these, no proposal can become a reality.
