Video: 'Bishop Bagrat was manipulating and didn't want to answer my questions' - Citizen debates with Bishop Bagrat

At the Tatev Monastery Complex, a woman named Hasmik approached Bishop Bagrat under the pretext of asking him a question. She inquired about how the Bishop envisions the negotiations surrounding Artsakh.

The woman, not wishing to hear an answer to her own question, initially entered into a dialogue but then began to discuss Samvel Babayan's rhetoric, claiming that the leader was willing to defend Artsakh for the Armenians, but the people of Artsakh did not stand by his side.

Bishop Bagrat urged the woman to listen to his answer, explaining, “There must be negotiators—people who have dignity and principles, who will not concede anything in that field. What has happened with Artsakh and with our entire nation is condemnable, even for the international community. Therefore, our task should be to do everything we can to bring our beloved compatriots home, so that you and I do not meet each other in Tatev, but rather in Gandzasar. If our lives are not empowered from within, no matter how much you talk about Artsakh, it will not exist. Today, the issue on the table is to clarify these questions and strengthen the country.”

The woman declared that she does not trust the media and has deleted all media pages. She continued to pose questions without listening to the answers.

Bishop Bagrat suggested she come to Goris, where he was scheduled to meet with the public shortly, to voice her questions there, but she refused to go.

“I am neither a provocateur nor have I been sent here; I came from Yerevan by chance,” the woman stated in response to a journalist's question, asserting that Bishop Bagrat was manipulating and did not want to answer her questions.
