Video: Putin-Aliyev Negotiations Start in Astana

Negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev have begun in Astana.

“In 2022, Russia and Azerbaijan signed a declaration of alliance, the points of which are reflected in real life,” Aliyev stated.

Putin, on his part, noted that trade between Russia and Azerbaijan increased by 13% in the first half of 2024. He also discussed the prospects for further development of Russian-Azerbaijani relations.

“There are more than 300 schools in Azerbaijan where the Russian language is taught, which creates a good outlook for the further development of Russian-Azerbaijani relations,” Putin mentioned.
