All Types of Benefits and Pensions Will Transition Completely to Cashless Payments
All types of benefits and pensions will transition completely to cashless payments. This was announced by the Minister of Labor and Social Issues, Arsen Torosyan, during the Government's meeting on November 20, stating that there will be no cash payments under any circumstances.
The minister also reported that the number of individuals receiving cash payments has decreased by 10,000 in just the last month. “Currently, we have 661,000 citizens receiving some form of benefit or pension, of which only 60,000 receive cash, while 600,000 receive it in cashless form,” explained the minister.
According to Torosyan, this regulation will come into effect on April 1, allowing for a smooth transition for the 60,000 citizens, some of whom may require assistance in moving from cash to cashless payments.
