Marukyan Asked Me to Advocate for His Election as Ombudsman: Rubinyan

At one point, Edmon Marukyan asked me to advocate for his election as the Human Rights Defender. This was stated by Ruben Rubinyan, the Vice President of the National Assembly, on his social media page.

“However, this time I did not advocate for him because I did not consider Marukyan sufficiently principled,” Rubinyan wrote, adding that in hindsight, he believes he made the right decision.
