Suspect in Murder at Vagharsapat Gas Station Arrested

The investigation into the murder that occurred at a gas station in the Vagharsapat community of the Armavir region has been completed by the Human Crimes Investigation Department of the Special Investigative Committee of Armenia.

During the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings, evident factual data has been obtained regarding the incident on March 22, 2025, when K.B. and A.P. met at the gas station to clarify their disagreements. The conversation escalated into an argument, during which K.B. shot at A.P. with an illegally held firearm, resulting in A.P.'s death.

A public criminal prosecution has been initiated against K.B. under Article 155, Part 1 of the Criminal Code (murder). The court has applied detention as a preventive measure against him. The criminal case has been sent to the supervising prosecutor with a request to confirm and forward it to the court for substantial examination.
